The Journal “Critical & Cultural Perspectives for Reconciliation Studies and Practices” accepting applications for a new Editorial board members

The Editorial Board Committee plays pivotal role in the organization. Its members, all acclaimed members of the academic community from all over the world, suggest the overall thematic orientation, including the key tracks. The Editorial Board Committee overseas the abstract and paper submission process and reviews these proposals in view of accepting these and it publishing. The peer reviewed academic e-journals will be established by the IARS association according to the statute of the association and its goals.

Objectives of the editorial board

Aside from providing prestige, the role of the editorial board is to advise and support the editor. Functions may include:

    1. Identifying new topics for commissions, special editions and advising on direction for the journal—giving feedback on past issues and making suggestions for both subject matter and potential authors

    2. Provide content by writing occasional editorials and other short articles Approaching potential contributors

    3. Peer review; also help to identify peer reviewers and provide second opinions on papers (i.e. where there is a conflict between reviewers)

    4. Identify appropriate conferences for editors to attend

    5. Endorse the journal to authors, readers and subscribers and encourage colleagues to submit their best work.

Positions

Associate editor - A managing editor who commissions articles; coordinates peer review; liaises with authors, reviewers and board members; writes short editorials, news and research highlights, and carries out heavy developmental/technical editing of manuscripts.

Manuscript editor - An editor responsible for lighter copyediting of manuscripts.

Young Researchers - researchers in the first 10 years (full-time equivalent) of their research activity, including the period of research training

English Editor - Coordinating online or print publishing cycle and managing content areas.

Interested applicants should send a letter of interest and current CV that highlights policy presentations and publications by November, 1, 2021 to: Binyamin Gurstein, Editor-in-Chief at binyamin.gurstein@uni-jena.de . Applicants will be notified of the status of their application by January 15, 2022 and the review board term begins in March of 2022.
